Water Tank Project Completed at Sri Piyadassi Daham Pasala
MORAGANE, SRI LANKA – To mark the dawn of 2026 with a spirit of service and community welfare, a significant water infrastructure project was successfully completed at Sri Piyadassi Daham Pasala in Nelibawa, Moragane, on January 1st.
Enhancing Facilities for Future Generations
The distribution and installation of a new distributed water tank system address a long-standing need for the Dhamma school. With hundreds of students attending weekly religious education, the new system ensures:
- Continuous Water Supply: Reliable access to water for drinking and sanitation.
- Improved Hygiene: Enhanced facilities to support the health and well-being of students and staff.
- Sustainability: A modern distribution network designed to last for years to come.
A Meaningful Start to 2026
The project was inaugurated during a special ceremony on New Year's Day, attended by the Maha Sangha, school administrators, and local community members. Speaking at the event, organizers noted that providing such essential utilities to a place of education is one of the highest forms of community service (Dana).
The Sri Piyadassi Daham Pasala remains a cornerstone of the Nelibawa community, and this upgrade marks a significant milestone in its ongoing development.
